Leap Into The Unknown
June Barrett

The moon whispered secrets
To the tide last night
Soft shadows danced beneath its silver light
I stood alone where the sea meets the sky
And I wondered if love could ever pass me by
The stars hung low like promises unspoken
Their shimmer fragile as hearts left broken
A breeze kissed my cheek and carried your name
And suddenly nothing could ever be the same
Is this the moment my story rewrites
Where fear takes a bow and hope ignites
When love begins it's a leap into the unknown
A melody sung where the seeds of trust are sown
It's the quietest spark that becomes a wildfire
When love begins it lifts the soul higher
Your eyes found mine across a crowded room
A fleeting glance that melted all the gloom
Time stood still as the world blurred away
And in that silence I heard my heart obey
Your hand reached out like a bridge to forever
Each fingertip a vow we'd journey together
No need for words when the truth is so clear
In that moment I felt eternity near
